Addis Equine Auctions Inc. has continually strived to make the buying and selling of Arabian and Half/Arabian horses at auction a good and educational experience. We have done everything possible to run our auction with the utmost of integrity and honesty.

We understand that it is always a gamble to come to an auction, spend hard earned money and not have the confidence in our own judgment to buy. We also do not always have either the time or the knowledge to prepare the horses we have to sell at that horse’s advantage to insure the top dollar that each horse is worth.

We are proud to introduce the ADDIS EQUINE AUCTIONS INC. CERTIFIED AGENT NETWORK. We will list the agents that have been certified to act as your agent either to buy that special horse or to sell your horse. All of our certified agents have to meet a certain criteria, including experience and a high ethical standard.

SELLING AGENT

An agent fee for selling a horse is usually approximately 5% of the selling price plus usual training and hauling. This would be subject to each individual agent.

BUYING AGENT

When using a buying agent. A 10% agent fee will be added to your purchase price. Your agent will be acting on your behalf to provide the following services.

1. Inspect horse for conformation.
2. help decide if horse is suitable for your specific use or discipline
3. assist in pre purchase exam by a veterinarian [this will be done at prospective buyers expense]
4. bid during auction on behalf of client
5. arrange for care after purchase
6. arrange shipping
7. settle account on behalf of buyer
